Dak Prescott drops shock hint he will quit Dallas Cowboys in 2025

DALLAS Cowboys star quarterback Dak Prescott revealed a clue that he could leave the franchise after the 2025 season.

The three-time NFL Pro Bowler will be entering the final year of his lucrative 4-year, $160 million contract.

Prescott and the Cowboys suffered a brutal 48-32 home loss to the Green Bay Packers in the 2023 Wild Card round in January.

The 30-year-old threw two touchdowns but also three interceptions in the defeat.

Since the official 2024 season began last month, there has been plenty of talk regarding Prescott’s future in Dallas.

Prescott spoke to reporters over the weekend and seemed to indicate that he’s open to playing for another squad after the upcoming season

“I don’t have any fears. I’m not going to say I fear being here or not. I don’t fear either situation to be candid with y’all,” Prescott said.

“I love this game and love to play and love to better myself as a player and my teammates around me.”

The veteran quarterback then acknowledged that he’s a Cowboys first and foremost, but that the next offseason holds uncertainty for himself.

“Right now it’s with the Dallas Cowboys, it’s where I want to be, and that’s where I am and that’s the focus,” Prescott continued.

“After the season, we’ll see where we’re at and if the future holds that. If not, well go from there.”

Prescott has been with the Cowboys throughout his eight-year career.

He was drafted by the NFL team in the fourth round of the 2016 draft.

Prescott made the Pro Bowl in 2016, 2018 and 2023.

In the latter season, he put together his best campaign, leading the Cowboys to a third straight playoff appearance and having a career-high in completions (410) and a league-leading 36 touchdown passes.

In March, Prescott said that he was “definitely confident” that he and the Cowboys would get an extension completed.

But questions have been raised of Prescott’s future after owner Jerry Jones said, “I don’t fear that,” when asked about the 2024 season potentially being the quarterback’s last in Dallas.

As a result, there have been trade rumors surrounding Prescott.

A team will have to play plenty in order to land Prescott next offseason..
