Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones walked out of his postgame press conference after Sunday’s Week 14 loss to the Buffalo Bills when a large ceiling tile fell and nearly crushed some members of the media.
This is the second time this year that the team’s press room falls apart and it’s the perfect metaphor for how the 2023 NFL season has developed for the 8-5 Chiefs, who are coming off back-to-back defeats.
The first incident in the press room was on October 12. Water leaked through the ceiling and split one of the tiles in two.
Chiefs lead the NFL in dropped passes this season and need a makeover to bolster the offense, but the issues are seemingly also off the field.

Jones, 29, was visibly frustrated during the game and he took it out on a coach, who slammed his tablet in front of the Chiefs leader.
That wasn’t the first time the press room had troubles. This was on 10/12. I was covering post coverage for @KCStar pic.twitter.com/Qzfa2Wusy4

Walking out of the press conference is just more evidence of Jones’ frustration, but he’s far from the only angry party in Kansas City.
Both Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid lashed out at officials during their postgame pressers for calling an offensive offsides.
