The Pittsburgh Steelers are basically crack for Joe Manganiello.
Sofía Vergara dished on her husband’s obsession with his hometown team during an interview on “The Tonight Show” on Tuesday.
“He’s not a fan, he’s obsessed,” she told Jimmy Fallon. “He’s like a sick person … I think it’s one of the most important things in his life. It’s not just football, it’s the Pittsburgh Steelers.”
The “Modern Family” actress showed off an Instagram photo of Manganiello clad head-to-toe in Steelers gear, noting, “That’s nothing! That was one of his subtle days, actually. Sometimes he has the pants to the underwear to the hat to the bandanna, it’s everything. He has a section of his [wardrobe] that’s all Steelers.”
The “Magic Mike” hunk’s fandom eventually became contagious.
“After two years, he brainwashed me,” Vergara, 44, said. “I have no choice.”
That doesn’t mean she understands the 39-year-old actor’s wardrobe choices.
“Even if he’s alone to watch the game, he’s in his whole outfit, and I’m like, ‘But nobody’s here!’ I think he thinks those outfits are like wearing Tom Ford or Gucci or something,” she cracked. “I’m like, ‘Joe, that’s not a brand of clothing, the Steelers logo.’ I’ve learned to accept it, but in the beginning it was kind of weird.”
Still, Vergara was able to find a silver lining in Manganiello’s devotion.
“Now I love it,” she admitted. “I love how he enjoys it. It’s better that he’s addicted to that and not something else. He’s home in his whole outfit instead of out somewhere gambling with strippers!”
