DERRICK HENRY has been left looking unrecognizable after ditching his iconic haircut.
The NFL star has had his familiar dreadlocks since his rookie season in 2016.
The Baltimore Ravens running back made use of his side’s bye week by getting a new haircut.
Henry, 30, has swapped his dreadlocks for cornrows and showed them off on social media.
A video posted by Tima the hairstylist on Instagram showcased his bold new look.
He could be seen holding his severed dreadlocks in the clip, which has since gone viral.
However, his fans have admitted their concern that he may suffer a drop in form.
One posted: “It’s okay to tell a client no to a hairstyle.”
A second commented: “Oh no he might lose his powers now.”
A third wrote: “Sampson cutting his hair vibes.”
A fourth said: “We were close to seeing the Ravens in the Super Bowl, but the Kansas City Chiefs struck again.”
Another added: “Have you ever heard the story of Sampson?”
It is thought that it is the first time Henry has changed his hairstyle since he was in high school.
In his first season with the Ravens, has already accumulated 1,407 rushing yards, the second-best in the NFL.
He has also managed 13 ground touchdowns, which is tied with the Philadelphia Eagles star Jalen Hurts.
He and the Ravens will be back in action on Sunday when they face the New York Giants.
Meanwhile, in November, Henry suffered an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction against the Cincinnati Bengals.
He had his pants pulled down after another impressive performance on the field.
