Billionaire Jeff Bezos is said to have purchased a fourth private jet capable of travelling close to the speed of sound for a staggering $80 million.

The G700 was spotted taking off from Ibiza last weekend, while Bezos and his fiancée, Lauren Sanchez, were also aboard a superyacht near the Mediterranean island.
Public flight data also shows the 60-year-old billionaire’s plane made 28 flights in the past 39 days, emitting 264 tons of carbon — 17 times the average American’s emissions in a year, JetSpy reported.

Responding to the report, Bezos’ representative explained that the billionaire uses sustainable aviation fuel for his travels, in addition to paying carbon offsets and funding projects that reduce air pollution.
Prior to the G700, Jeff Bezos also owned two aircraft models of the same brand, the Gulfstream G650 and the Pilatus PC-24. As of August 21, the Amazon founder’s net worth was valued at $203 billion according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, making him the second-richest person in the world after Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
