Bill Clinton and his wife, Hillary Clinton, recently enjoyed a family night out at Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour concert in Toronto.
The former president had a nice time experiencing the pop star perform live in concert, as he shared that he was “fascinated” by her fan loyalty.
The couple was accompanied by their daughter, Chelsea Clinton, granddaughter, Charlotte, and some of their friends.
At some point during the event, Taylor Swift was visibly emotional as she was reminded that her tour was drawing to a close.
Bill Clinton Attends Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Show
Bill Clinton recently gave Swift a shout-out after watching her perform live during her Eras Tour concert.
The ex-US president appeared on Monday’s episode of “Live with Kelly and Mark,” where he noted that he was in attendance with his wife Hillary, daughter Chelsea, as well as Chelsea’s daughter Charlotte.
“I did, I did!” Bill responded after he was asked to “Confirm or deny” that he was in attendance at the singer’s concert.
Bill explained that this was his first visit to Swift’s show, going on to explain how he now understands her army of swifties.
“I get it now,” he said, per Page Six. “I mean, I understand why she has such an impact on people and why a lot of these young girls are so captivated.”
Bill Clinton Praised The Grammy Award Winner
Elsewhere in his chat with Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, Bill showered praises on Swift for singing for “three-plus hours straight” on stage.
“She’s not like a lot of people who do concerts,” he noted. “She did three hours-plus straight. I mean, straight through! She just kept on singing the songs and kept on doing it, which I think is a very respectful thing to do for the audience.”
“I was fascinated watching our crowd of kids, especially my granddaughter, standing there with the wife of one of Chelsea’s friends from 20-plus years ago and her daughters and all of them up there singing, and they all knew the words to all the songs,” Bill continued.
Ripa then inquired if his young girls asked him to use his status to meet Swift backstage.
“Actually, they didn’t, and I probably couldn’t have,” Bill said while laughing. “And we didn’t, but you know the venues are so big, you got to walk across a football field to get to backstage.”
Taylor Swift Was Visibly Emotional At Her Toronto Show
Over the weekend, the “Bad Blood” singer was visibly emotional as she reminisced on the fact that her Eras Tour concert stops are coming to an end soon.
Swift’s last set of shows will take place in Vancouver next month, and she will most likely seek to wrap it all up in a high.
“Toronto, we’re at the very end of this tour so you doing that, you have no idea how much it means to me and to my bank,” the singer said, pausing as she became emotional.
“And to my band and to my crew and everybody who has put so much into this tour … and I don’t even know what I’m saying, I’m just having a bit of a moment, sorry,” Swift admitted to the audience, brushing her cheeks with her hands.
“That was, uh, I’m just having a bit of a moment. Sorry,” she continued before expressing her “love” for Toronto.
The Singer Is Looking Forward To ‘Taking A Break And Relaxing’
Swift has completed over 140 shows across five continents since her tour kicked off in March 2023. Toronto is her second-to-last stop ahead of her final performance next month.
“My band, my crew, all my fellow performers, we have put so much of our lives into this and you have put so much of your lives into being with us tonight and giving us that moment, we will never forget,” she said. “We’ve loved our time in Toronto. It’s been so amazing.”
Swift has three more concerts left in Vancouver from December 6 to 8.
A source told Us Weekly that the singer is “looking forward to taking a break and relaxing. She’s exhausted. That’s the plan for 2025. Taylor’s really eager to start the next chapter with Travis.”
Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce Are ‘Absolutely Happy’ Together
In an earlier episode of Travis and his brother, Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast, the Chiefs tight end gushed about his year-long romance with the “Blank Space” hitmaker, insisting that they’re “absolutely happy” together despite recent rumors suggesting they were breaking up.
The brothers had Travis’ “Grotesquerie” co-star, Niecy Nash, as a guest, who claimed that people would “text [her] about Travis” after they began working together.
“They started off saying, ‘We’re watching [the show]. Is he the killer?'” she said, per Page Six. “Just to get [me] on the line texting them.”
“Then they’re like, ‘Well, what do you know about his relationship?'” Nash continued. “I’m like, ‘Get out of that man’s business.'”
Nash’s jokes got the football star laughing as she went on to describe herself as a “vault” and promised “nosy” people “aren’t getting nothing out of” her.
Travis then replied, “I appreciate you. Every time someone has a mic in front of you and asks you something like that, thank you for always showing love.”
He added, “You know it’s real. And you know that me and Tay are absolutely happy, and I appreciate you always making sure everybody knows that.”
