Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson put together his first run at the AFC title in 2023. But he’s likely still thinking about the disappointing end of his team’s season before facing the very team that knocked him from Super Bowl contention ahead of the Thursday, Sept. 5, 2024, NFL opener.

Jackson piloted his Ravens to a league-best 14-3 record in 2023 and had the team on the cusp of Super Bowl 58. Unfortunately for Jackson, he ran into Patrick Mahomes and the same Kansas City buzzsaw that has been tormenting would-be AFC contenders for over half a decade now, falling 17-10. Now, Mahomes and the Chiefs are the first gauntlet for Jackson and Company.

Jackson left last season in misery. He’s also endured other league disappointments including missing the playoffs in 2021 while tying for last place in the AFC North. But through it all, one person has remained a strong presence in his corner, especially before he begins Season 7 at Arrowhead Stadium.

Who Is Lamar Jackson’s Girlfriend?

Despite not yet reaching the big dance, Ravens fans likely feel reassured that Jackson is their franchise guy. They’ll be fully in the two-time MVP’s corner in 2024 and beyond. So too will Jackson’s girlfriend, Jamie Taylor. Of course, she’s already been in his corner for some time now.

Jackson and Taylor first met at Boynton Beach Community High School in Boynton Beach, Fla. She was three years his junior, but the two reunited in academia when she and Jackson each decided to pursue higher education at the University of Louisville.

You could refer to them as high school sweethearts, but you’d be chronologically incorrect. They started dating in 2017, around the time of Jackson’s final collegiate football season with the Cardinals.

Jackson and Taylor are also proud parents. The couple welcomed a little girl, Milan, into the world back in 2021. That didn’t become common knowledge until months later when the star QB posted a picture of the little girl dressed up adorably in her Halloween garb. The now-toddler is no doubt the apple of the young couple’s eye.

But what does Taylor do for a living now? And is she always in Baltimore or does she have another residence?

Again, details of her day-to-day are sparse, but evidently, she’s pretty good at what she does. These aforementioned sources repeatedly mention her working with massive brands like Vanity Fair, Esquire, GQ, Rolling Stone, and Vogue. She’s even worked with renowned celebrity photographers Annie Leibovitz, Steven Klein, and Richard Burbridge, to name a few.

All three are well-known for photographing and creating portraits of celebrities in the L.A. region — with Leibovitz having done portraits for the Beatles’ lead singer John Lennon and reality television star Kim Kardashian.

Jackson and Taylor have largely managed to keep their private lives out of the spotlight, but she did speak about how Jackson impacted her during a 2019 interview with Clifton Brown for the Ravens’ team website.

“He’s taught me how to handle criticism,” Taylor said. “I mean, I used to get mad when I’d read stuff. Then I’d look at him, and he’s just fine. He says, ‘Let them do the talking. You don’t have to say anything. Just show them.’”
