THE San Francisco 49ers can make their dreams come true and win the Super Bowl this year despite their Las Vegas heartbreak, according to Kay Adams.
The 49ers suffered the most brutal of losses to the Kansas City Chiefs in February’s showpiece game.

There has been plenty of history of teams having poor seasons after suffering in the biggest game of all.
But Adams believes this 49ers team is too strong for that and won’t be surprised to see them go all the way in 2024.
“I’m not going to get caught being fooled into thinking that the Super Bowl hangover is a thing for the Niners this year,” she said on the @UpAndAdamsShow.

“I’m not going to be fooled into thinking the Niners cannot win the Super Bowl this year.
“If you’re not familiar with the Super Bowl hangover and what it really is, it sort of gets cannibalised and taken out of context, the theory is the loser of the Super Bowl falls apart the next year.
“The Falcons, 28-3 of course, they couldn’t recapture the magic. The Eagles last year, things completely fell apart and went off the rails.
“There are key differences here, the Eagles struggled because they lost both coordinators to head coaching jobs and key pieces to their defense.
“I have to say that is part of the hangover, that has to be baked into this equation.
“The Falcons lose their spark because Kyle Shanahan leaves. Again this is the deep curses of having a Super Bowl appearing team.
“But this Niners squad, I’m not buying it. They have the entire core group running it back.
“Arik Armstead really is the only big departure. They’ve added Lenoard Floyd.
“(Maliek) Collins, (De’Vondre Campbell. They’ve strengthened the defense.
“They get Talanoa Hufanga back, he missed the entire second half of the season.
“This roster is in great shape. they did not lose any coaches. That’s a huge difference.

“Three teams go back and get that Lombardi the year after losing, most recently the the 2019 Patriots it can happen.
“If any team is equipped to do it, it’s this team, especially the way the NFC looks now.”
The 49ers have now lost two Super Bowls in five seasons – they also lost to the Chiefs in Miami in the game following the 2019 season.
Under coach Shanahan, and with quarterback Brock Purdy, they were touted by many observers as the best team in football during the 2023 season.
But despite leading at halftime in Las Vegas, they fell short against Andy Reid’s team.
A touchdown from Mecole Hardman, from a Patrick Mahomes pass, sealed a 25-22 win for the Chiefs in overtime.
