Dallas Cowboys star cornerback Trevon Diggs underwent a serious surgery on Thursday.

According to ESPN’s Todd Archer, Diggs underwent chondral tissue graft surgery on his left knee and the surgery could keep him sidelined well into the summer. There’s a chance that he could miss part of training camp.

Diggs played in the first 10 games of the Cowboys’ 2024 season before missing the next two with a knee injury. He then returned for the December 9 game against the Cincinnati Bengals before he was placed on injured reserve for the rest of the season.

He finished the year with 42 total tackles, two interceptions, and 11 passes defended.

The Cowboys are hopeful that Diggs will return to full health for the 2025 season after his 2024 season was cut short. He’s a two-time Pro Bowler and had his best individual season in 2022, compiling 59 total tackles, three interceptions, and 14 passes defended.

Diggs is set to enter the third year of a five-year $97 million contract and is one of the top corners in the league when he’s healthy.
